Fire Eyed King!
Monday, February 23rd, 2009My friend and pastor, Steve Fry, sometimes speaks of Jesus as He is described in the book of Revelations (when John was in the Spirit on the Isle of Patmos) as the “Fire-Eyed King.”
I have thought that that would make a great song since I first heard that name/description- you know how us songwriter’s are!
So a few weeks ago, before going to our church on a Sunday morning (a rare Sunday that we were home), I was playing on the piano when the intro riff first came into my musical consciousness. A few days after that I got together with my friend Brian Cooney who is the worship leader at The Gate and a wonderful songwriter, and we co-wrote the song “Fire Eyed King.”
